Parish Builders
are individuals (adults - single, married, or of retirement age), preferably graduates of the Association Free Lutheran Bible School, who
volunteer to spend a minimum of one year assisting the Pastor of a Home Missions congregation through teaching and outreach. |
They move to the local community, where they find housing and, if necessary, employment. Parish Builders
are not paid a salary, but are commissioned by AFLC Home Missions. They become a part of the life of the missions church assisting in such areas as teaching, visitation and canvassing. They help to take some of the pressure off the pastor and his family, and encourage the congregation members to become more vitally involved and assume leadership.
|
At this time we have several couples who are considering becoming Parish Builders. Please pray that the Lord will open doors for them, and
will guide and protect them as they move out in faith. |
