“For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon You” (Psalm 86:5). There isn’t a day that goes by when I’m not reminded of the Lord’s abundant greatness. When I take time to contemplate, I see His power in all things created. It is quite an amazing wonder when you stop to think about it.

I reflect on some of our world’s finest artistic creations. Magnificent works of art fashioned by the hand of man through talents God has given. The Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci, masterfully created with the most primitive of paintbrushes and paints. The Pietá by Michelangelo, a fabulous marble statue depicting the Virgin Mother cradling her crucified son, so lifelike in every respect, carved with only a chisel and a hammer. Yet these manmade creations are only a glimpse of the true beauty and wonder of God’s creative power.

An even greater wonder is God’s ability and power to create and nurture spiritual life. I think of the wonderful power of the Holy Spirit, invisible to the human eye, yet powerfully at work in human hearts. I think of the Bible, written by God through man, a tool so powerful its Gospel words can transform lives in an instant. And I never cease to be humbled by the power of Jesus Christ through whom we receive the gift of salvation, freely given out of His abundant lovingkindness and mercy.

Each one of us is called to share this wonderful gift of God’s love with others (Matthew 28:19). This is difficult for many, but God is able to equip you by the power of the Holy Spirit through His Word. Eternal souls are waiting to experience the wonder of God’s love!
