Put on the whole armor of God,
that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood,
but against the rulers, against the authorities,
against the cosmic powers over this present darkness,
against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
Therefore take up the whole armor of God,
that you may be able to withstand in the evil day,
and having done all, to stand firm.

Have you ever heard a statement like “when God repeats something in the Bible you should pay attention”? In these verses he mentions the word “stand” three times—I think we need to pay attention!  We are instructed to put on the full armor of God SO THAT WHEN the day of evil comes we may be able to stand against…to stand firm …stand…  When we have God’s armor we can stand because God is greater than the evil we face, He is greater than Satan, He is greater than our fears and He is living in our hearts!
