The Bible is a book about GOD. Proof is found in Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning GOD…” This confirms in my mind that this life is not about “ME” as the world would like me to think. So often we think we are good enough as we are and can do well with what life gives us. But without God we are nothing. As I was pondering this idea the verse Philippians 4:8 came to mind “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” (ESV) Think of this verse in this way:

Finally, brothers, whatever is
True—GOD IS
Honorable—GOD IS
Just—GOD IS
Pure—GOD IS
Lovely—GOD IS
Commendable—GOD IS
if there is
any excellence—GOD IS
anything worthy of praise—GOD IS
THINK about these things!

THINK about GOD!  THINK about who HE IS! Desire to be in His Word to get to know Him and in getting to KNOW HIM we are able to know who we are.
