Repentant Joy
-
There is rejoicing and joy over one sinner that has repented.
-
The ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with song and everlasting joy upon their heads. There will be no more sorrow and sighing, only joy and gladness.
Joyful Strength

We receive the strength to live this joyful life from the Lord.
-
We are to rejoice because we can be partners with Christ in His suffering and then afterwards we will have the wonderful joy of sharing His glory.
Serving Joy
There is real joy in service for the Lord. Job found it so and we are told that if we go forth bearing precious seed we shall come again with rejoicing.
1. Job 29:12-13 (ESV) Because I delivered the poor who cried for help, and the fatherless who had none to help him. The blessing of him who was about to perish came upon me, and I caused the widow’s heart to sing for joy.
-
Psalm 126:5-6 (ESV) Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy! He who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.
-
John 4:36 (ESV) Already the one who reaps is receiving wages and gathering fruit for eternal life, so that sower and reaper may rejoice together.
-
Acts 20:24 (ESV) But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
Some Joy Focus
-
In Acts we read how Paul and Barnabas share with others the conversion of the Gentile brethren and what great joy it brings to the brethren. In Philippians Paul rejoices in his Christian brethren and encourages them to stay true to the Lord. Let us never let the victories, accomplishments and growth of other Christians become an offense to us. Let us never become jealous of them but rather rejoice with them.
-
One of the greatest things to rejoice in is that our name is written in Heaven.
The Lord’s Joy

The Lord rejoices in His works.
