Let us look at some examples of kindness in the Bible.  Indicate whether the act was motivated by God’s Spirit or selfish gain.

a. Matthew 1:19–Joseph to Mary.

b. Luke 7:2-6–A centurion to his servant.

c. John 11:19, 33–Jews to Mary and Martha.

d. John 19:27–John to Mary.

e. Acts 24:23–Felix to Paul.
